I never have any symptoms at work or when I’m out with friends. I only have symptoms when I’m at home.
Maybe i need to get some friends
Yeah, home can be over-rated. That’s why people crack jokes about people who live in “a home”.
I experience the same thing. At work I am so busy that it takes my mind off of my problems and I kinda forget that I have schizophrenia. It’s the same with driving or walking down the street.
Im the opposite
rarely get symptoms at home (except around one certain person) and
always get them when I am out and about.
I used to rarely get symptoms at work. I could tell I was doing worse when I got them there.
I think if your mind is occupied you have less chance of other thoughts intruding. Most your downtime and time in general is spent at home, so it stands to reason you’d get the majority of symptoms there.
I’m the same as @dcmouse. My symptoms go haywire at work or while out.
Well most of the time I can concentrate at work and forget my problems.
But now I’m getting to the point where I don’t handle work stress as well as I used too.
So I told them and they are hiring me a helper. So after I get her set up, I can work less days and she can work more. Then I can fade in the sunset and live happily in retirement?
Who knows when to quit? When you’re saved enough in your IRA? My whole life I saved because right from the start, I never knew how long I would ‘last’ before they found out my secret. And got rid of me.
Well I was retired once at 32 years old, fired once in a flip out. But last job even kept me after a nuclear melt down!?! And just understand when I’ve had to take hospital visits. A place with no stigma?!? Strange little company, I guess I just fit in.
