So today we scarified and top dressed our cricket block. It’s only a three pitch block but it takes a ton or more of black soil to top dress it after the scarifying. Scarifying is using a verticle mower like a plow to make little 1 inch cuts to break up the runners…
This year it was a lot of extra work. We needed more soil so I was the primary shovel guy so today I would have shoveled over a ton of soil onto a trailer and onto the pitch. I’ve been doing well with my exercise and today it paid off. I’m tired but not sore! Getting fitter everyday!
