I thought that too. That frightened me.
What does the c button do??
The equal sign is not important when using a reverse polish notation (RPN) calculator. To this day I feel much more comfortable using my HP calculators that use RPN.

Yes, come to think of it you could just push any formula like + or - to get the = so far anyways.
