A book-filled childhood prevents later cognitive decline

Books saved my childhood, the more obvious advantage of growing up before the Internet

My daughter grew up with it and it didn’t impede her reading. She has both paper books and electronic ones on her devices. She has also written three of her own.

Yeah, I would think that the internet provides more opportunities for reading, not less.

I remember reading this book called microman it was like 90 pages and had some fullpage pictures.

My grade 7 teacher said it was unacceptable for a book report.

But I showed him who’s boss. :smirk: I got my grade 12 teacher to approve the same book for a book report. My teacher laughed and said yeah sure go for it :sunglasses::smile:

My mom told me to read too many times and I rebelled by reading only about 15 or 20 books as a child. I began reading at sixteen to improve my song lyrics, right before I caught schizophrenia from my cat.
