This book is such an eye opening story about how people were treated before mental illness was acceptable in society. The book is a story about a girl and her family’s journey in the 50s. Ì recommend it. It’s probably top 10 books that I read before this stupid illness took that from me.

I just recently watched a Youtube video about some kids with Tourette’s. I am thankful that i don’t have to deal with what they deal with.
It is fiction but amazingly well written
My oldest son has Tourettes and autism and adhd. Every day he works harder than anyone I know. We were not given a very good prognosis but he proved them wrong every day. Now he works a good physical job and will be going for his class one truckers license soon.
Sounds like he’s doing pretty good. You must be very proud of him!
