I want to thank all the forum members who encouraged me to keep taking guitar lessons.
My guitar teacher told me today that I’m learning fast, and doing great.

What style of guitar are you learning?
Mainly rock music, punk, metal and Blues. 
haha, a little bit of everything.
Oh how coooooool. Are you playing an electric guitar then?
I go back and forth between acoustic and electric.
What I try to do is write a song, or music on the acoustic. And if it sounds good enough I’ll play it on my electric.
I do have some songs I’ve written over the years though that I play only on acoustic. Like my folk music type stuff.
Wow! It sounds like you really love your guitars. I used to love writing songs on my guitar. Now I don’t even sing the old songs. It always feels like a missing piece. My guitar is sitting right beside my bed in his rightful place, only covered in dust. I’m going to get new strings and play. You’ve inspired me.
