Sorry to hear. I’ve just contacted my care-coordinator myself because I worry the change of seasons is causing me difficulties with mental state too. Hospital visits are terrible, especially on our routine - i hope it recovers quickly for you
my course opens on the 4th. Though it doesnt officially start until the 27th. I think i will start on the 4th reading etc and doing the things online just to get ahead a little.
We played cards, I did puzzles, read books, watched tv, and had all different types of therapy every weekday. The only phones in any hospital I’ve ever been allowed in is a community phone in the break room that you take turns using to call family or friends. No computers, tablets, kindles etc.
I’m currently in the hospital for ECT treatments and they allow us to have our phones in our rooms. We just can’t use them during groups or, obviously, to take pictures of other patients. This is the only time I’ve ever had my phone on a psych unit. I’ve been locked up going on 8 weeks, I’m gonna get discharged to outpatient ECT in 4 days.
The Section 3 is up to 6 months and can be renewed. Mine expires on 13th Sept and won’t be renewed. The private hospital I’m at and the NHS are lazy, inefficient, ineffective and incompetent.
They’ve severely delayed my discharge. I should have been home in May or June.
Got sectioned in March this year and I didn’t have a full blown psychotic episode. So they could have called the home treatment team and saved me the trouble of hospital.
I deteriorated in the hospital setting because hospital is a negative environment.
I got threatened, assaulted attacked on this PICU and it was very noisy.
My routine has been taken away from me and I have minimal freedom.
I’m filing a lawsuit against the hospital and the NHS when I get home for the psychological harm they have caused. Plus I was sexually harassed by staff and patients over the years at other NHS hospitals.
