48h smoke free. Craving a cig so badly

They say the worst day is the 3rd day.

Does anyone miss smoking after quitting?

I’m thinking there are situations where I want to have a cig, no matter what.

Does anyone just smoke every now and then?

for me it didn’t get easier until one day I was so scared I hated everything to do with cigs…hard to do…easy once you get the right mind set…give yourself a meaningful motto about cigs…like " I don’t want to die from smoking" or something like that.

No. When I quit I knew I couldn’t have another ever again because 1 would lead me to a whole pack everyday

My motto was: “I just feel like a nasty person with a nasty habit. Watching the ashes makes me want to puke”. Now that I’m “cleaner” I just want to have just 1 cigarette…

Same. I quitted for 1 month before summer. It was just stupid to relapse, but I needed to learn the lesson.

I couldn’t quit cigarettes so I switched to vaping. As you know, I quit vaping at the same time you quit cigarettes.

The cravings are the same, but one thing that’s missing is the “mind games” , the psychological element.

Also I’m using nicotine lozenges. I’m trying to stick with a maximum of 3 lozenges a day for now.

Do you think transitioning to vaping is easier to quit?

Nevermind, I’m just looking for a valid reason to smoke. Mind games.

If you want to try to quit I think you need what @jukebox talks about in the first post.
If you want to quit, start conditioning your mind early so one day you will be able to quit and maintain. Easy 24h, then there is a little struggle until first week I believe…

Thanks… the thing is that I really miss the psychological aspecf of smoking.

Yeah people who smoke rarely are mutants. If I smoke 1 it’s a pack a day.

Keep at it, three days is the hardest and a week is second hardest.

I just feel that people don’t smoke pack a day, like I do. Like they can control the habit more or less. I don’t know too many chain smokers tbh.

A pack a day isn’t chain smoking. It’s more like once per 30 or 40 minutes.

Chain smokers smoke indoors while watching TV lol

Anyways, quitting is turning into an inner philosophical dialogue for me atm.

That’s thankfully missing for me. Giving up vaping just seems to be a physical withdrawal issue. No mind games.

I was never a smoker, hate the smell. But I vape, I only vape when I am in my room, never outside.
