Thanks for this
I am on Zyprexa and Depakote, but when I am at my worst, I need some klonopin too… But I try not to take my benzo everyday…
I’m on paliperidone and sertraline. Recently aripiprazole had to be added cause my prolactin was so high. I’m getting it tested again on monday. Hopefully it’s gone down.
I’m on Xeplion and Risperidone. I was on four or five different meds before. I think they work best, but I became diabetic and got a fat liver. And I have little sex drive. Maybe better than psychotic.
I’m on risperidone (tapering off), Paxil, Wellbutrin, and buspirone.
I’ve recently found that risperidone, along with the weight gain it caused, has raised my blood sugar exponentially, so for my physical health’s sake I’m attempting a taper under medical supervision. It’s gotten rid of my psychosis but I feel it’s time for a change. Paxil and Wellbutrin both combat my depression pretty effectively. I don’t notice much of an effect from buspirone (it’s supposed to lower anxiety), maybe it’s just stealthy in the way it helps and I’d actually notice a difference if I stopped it? I dunno lol.
I’m only on one med but I take two supplements for my brain.
I can’t answer the second question, honestly I’m fine with them but if I can get to a point with no voices on another med I’d prefer that. I’ve just had such bad experiences with half the APs I’ve tried that I’m scared. I’m at about 8/10 on where I’d like to be, not sure if it’s worth losing that to go for a 10/10. We’ll see what the new psychiatrist thinks about clozaril, my current doctor wants to try it but of course I’m moving so it’s not a good time to try it until I’m in one spot.
I feel better and better. I’m really glad I finally found a med cocktail that works. Many years in the making.
I’m on five medications, but two are PRN. Invega sustenna, Zoloft and Lamictal I take regularly. Then I have cogentin and zyprexa PRN.
Still get some voices on risperidone, that needs a change, I want to be voice free. I don’t want to live with a bullies and angels inside my head.
Lamictal I love, keeps me from my wildly depressive swings.
Zoloft helps with day to day minor depression, but also with my intrusive thoughts, I’ll keep it.
I am now having to take Olanzapine PRN for now as my anxiety was getting out of control.
I am on Amisulpride and Diazepam as well
I take four and a vitamin which helps my mood. So four.
