Any ideas? I feel like complete and utter crap.
Zofran
Peppermint oil put under the nose helps usually.
I find that saltine crackers help sometimes.
I know that they give Zofran in the emergency room. But, can you get over the counter? It does work the best.
@FatMama
Either phenergan, compazine, or zofran. Meds.
Try lying on your right side. This helps drain the stomach. Cool washcloth on your forehead.
Stay a little on the cool side.
I’m not a doc, but that’s what I do. Have you changed meds or your diet? Are you a diabetic?
Let me know if I can help you more.
Sending you hugs.
I don’t think you get zofran over the countrer.
No med changes or anything.
@GrayBear
Zofran is a prescription medication.
I think I’m going to try some ginger tea. Not really sure if it will work.
I was getting chronic nausea from a suspected candida overgrowth until switching my diet to high carb, low fat, low protein for a few days, to give my blood sugar time to lower (high fat causes high blood sugar, surprisingly enough. High carbs and low fat = low blood sugar, but more muscle energy and warmth.)
Having low blood sugar for a while kills off yeast that cause the chronic nausea.
Has to be like an 80 carb / 10 fat / 10 protein split though, which is tough with animal foods, so it’s pretty much a vegan diet.
That it’s what I figured. Just was not 100% sure.
My ex husband brought me a strawberry milkshake. Not really making me feel any better
I guess it is the thought that counts.
Yeah it was thoughtful. Just didn’t quite work
Real Peppermint, Coke syrup, Pepto Bismol
Ginger lemon tea is my go-to. I hope you feel better soon!
I like Alka-Seltzer, changes the pH of the tummy.
Zofran IS great if you can get a script. Otherwise, I’d say try Pepto. Good luck; I hope you feel better soon!
Yeah, that’s what my mom taught us.
