Was considering CBT

For help with not-doing-things. I looked through a couple of books but they didn’t seem to apply.

I’d recommend looking up therapists by your local zip code on Google and seeing if any of them advertise as being trained in CBT.

No, I want to do it on my own, by the book.

Do-it-yourself therapy? Seems like an oxymoron.

Therapy with a therapist is out of the question for me. Was just looking for some guidelines for changing my thinking in regard to this one area. I had read there was a workbook. It was just an idea. I’m not that dedicated to it, I don’t think.

You can do CBT on your own. Most of the CBT groups I’ve been in just described the process so people could use it on their own anyway. I’d imagine that a good book would give you enough information.
