I go for metal bands, most of them lesser known (never got into Metallica, Slayer, etc.). To succeed commercially in metal a band almost has to sell out.
Anyway, Mushroomhead is definitely my favorite band ever. I actually have their logo tattooed on me, as ridiculous as that may seem to some.
I loved Tool.
Mudvayne was great.
Bad Religion’s music has great lyrics/messages (they’re punk, not metal).
Soulfly made some great albums, love the sometimes tribal feel and guttural vocals of Max Cavalera (formerly of Sepultura). I’m listening to them at the moment, actually.

I was 30 yrs old when I first attended a concert. I’ve been to 11 in the past 7 yrs. I’m not too terribly paranoid, but enough so that I am constantly feeling for my phone and wallet, making sure no one has picked my pockets, when I’m surrounded by people like that.
