I felt what I thought was a hard piece of cabbage. I got it out of my mouth and it was a large safety pin - like a diaper pin. Mystery - where’d it come from. I don’t think it was in the salad because I couldn’t have balanced it on my fork. I think it is something I coughed up that I had swallowed maybe years ago, even like when I was a baby in diapers. I did cough up a bread tie once, and, another time, a wire bracket like something an orthodontist would use… Strange but true.
