Tendrils of a delusion

The Tendrils of a delusion…

It creeps so tiny, so soft and gentle, so slowly.

Then it grabs hold like ivy across a stone wall.

Before you know it, the impervious masonry, square and sold

Is being eroded by the tiny random roots of the chaos

Poking holes in the mortar and always climbing.

The roots get larger and grab tighter and deeper.

The ivy wins and the wall succumbs.

The ivy takes root to survive.

No heed of the damage it’s doing to the wall.

The walls in my mind

Are in constant need of weeding.

I try and fight

The deep roots of Sneaky Brained Thinking

Thank you for that…

Some of the old head circus is trying to set up the tent again.

Thank you for the poem.

“square and sold” I guess that is “solid”.

I’m schizophrenic and write things myself.

But look at the metaphors, (these are figures of speech- taken out of context- so they are symbolic of something else) you use:

Tendrils, ivy, weeding: That’s nature going wild.

Masonry, mortar: Invented by us/people.

What or who do these things consciously represent in your life?

Hey no kidding I was watching a great movie on DVD last night.

"Apocalypse Now " it was made in 1979.

People suffered and do still today.

I hope you are successful with your writing and how you express your feelings.
