I grew up with people who when they liked something would say that the thing “is the greatest thing since sliced bread.” What’s so great about sliced bread? Okay, let’s say that you had a loaf of bread, and for some reason had no way to slice it, you could just take bites out of it (that’s what I do).

Today I told my mom how I’ve been feeling, that I can’t get any joy or excitement from anything so I just choose to sleep whenever I have free time and she was crying and rubbing my back and saying she wished she could help. My therapist says I should be open with my parents when I am struggling but it just feels bad to, because they can’t do anything about it. Then my mom said that I couldn’t just sleep my life away but I was thinking what if this is a life I need to sleep away. Why would I make myself suffer more than necessary? By never giving myself time to think I significantly improve the quality of my days.
Need to have a little trust in me… just close your eyes and let me leave. Just follow me home… to where the lonely ones roam.
