Resilience in patients with psychotic disorder

There is a lot to be said for putting the best face on something, and getting out into the world and functioning. Optimism helps too. I think this could have been stated with much less convoluted rhetoric, but I think that is the purpose of academics - to take simple ideas and make them an impenetrable fog.

What if tomorrow another scientist comes out and proves that resilience itself is genetic? Ultimately, it might be that everything is genetic haha so some of us were doomed from the get-go.

I think a lot would depend on what is meant by “positive psychotherapy”. Whether it was positive but grounded in reality.
A lot of the positive psychology practitioners go over the top and promise unreal/pie in the sky results.
Also the point about some people being more genetically geared to being resilient is a good one.
