I made an Access 2016 (downward compatible with 2010, 2007) database with form, code, table and report altogether for keeping track of daily sale and staff attendance.
The UI itself has a sense of simplicity: (who says software is just programming without graphics design 
)
And I use simple VBA script to calculate the hour worked.
This database is not so useful especially for high-end US enterprise. I used it myself for 3 months (I am living and working in a third-world country) and gave up. I have something better from cloud computing.

P/S: For first-time user, you need to right-click the title bar of the “Every Day1” window and click “Close” (Don’t click the “X”, it will exit the application), then “Enable Content”. You’ll just need to do this for the first time.
