I have the big d word daily and I take metformin. Any suggestions.
How long have you been on it? Sometimes symptoms like that go away after a few months.
It’s been a while. Some days I forget to take it. But yeah it’s been several months taking it. I just googled diabetic diarrhea and learned that Metformin can cause D as a side effect.

It should have gone away by now probably. You could try the slow release version of metformin see if that makes a difference.

Are u already diabetic or u are taking as a pre diabetic pills…cuz i think i need it too…
I am overweight too…!!!
I’m already diabetic. Trying to slow my eating. The clozaril I take causes me to want to eat.
Many ppl are overweight.

I would talk it over with your prescribing doctor about it.
Having diarrhea and other stomach issues usually occurs in the first couple of weeks of starting Metformin, but usually goes away with time.
You should not be experiencing what you are going through months into taking Metformin.
Maybe something else is going on.
