I think it’s when someone you like romantically makes it clear that they like you only as a friend.
I mean, it’s better than “Screw off, arsehole”

being a friend would be cool, theoretically. I can’t say I’ve been friend-zoned before because I don’t think anyone considered me a friend.
years ago, I remember talking with someone who told me that we should have “fun.” but I said that we were just friends because I was in a psych ward and I thought it was a trap.
but recently when I talk to some dudes, they hate friend-zoning.
