I think I'm getting tinnitus

I’ve noticed a ringing in my ears for a while now. Seem to gradually getting worse. Not very cool.

The voices are pretty quiet

You can go to a few tinnitus sites and hear sound scripts of the majority of the tinnitus sounds.

The first few weeks was the hardest for me. Just the getting use to it.

I tend forget I have it now. Although the silence can be deafening some nights. As often when it comes out for me when there is no sound or trying to extend my hearing on some soft sound.

As they say if pain persists see your doctor. Which will mean a possible hearing checks and to see if somethings just stuck in there.

Thanks for the info, gotta keep us with this. It is kind of comfortable, I know it’s not right though. Is it caused by meds or sz?

My deviate SZ mind has come up with many theories. But the logic speaks for itself.

Last thing I was doing before it started was listening with headphones at a very loud level.

I didn’t realise how loud until I pulled the headphones lead out of the socket.and the speakers took over.

See if this helps as well

I have had tinnitus for probably 12 years so far. Anywhere quiet if I focus on it I will hear it. Ringing.

Or flutters or pop pop pop. Or flutter to major ringing. Those ones are really odd

Alright well I guess it’s not that uncommon. I was a afraid it would lead to going deaf. Wouldn’t be very cool.

I also have it. close-up noise damage. I have lost a little hearing. I had to be tested. Wear ear plugs at loud events***!**

I have no problem avoiding loud events entirely.

I got the same I have sz dont take meds but damaged my hearing with loud music.

I dont think the music is the cause of my ringing oddly I get it when im having a decent day without delusion and not much rhetoric.

Its like my brain is saying HA! HA! You
Can never be completely free.

I was tested by an audiologist today and she said that I have tinnitus. I’m seeing the ear, nose and throat specialist tomorrow. The audiologist thinks that I might have middle ear infection which causes the tinnitus. Hopefully the specialist will just give me script for an anti-biotic and hopefully in a week or two the tinnitus will fade. I don’t know how I will cope with it if the tinnitus is irreversible.

This is a sign of being exposed to microwave energy. It can pass. Don’t go to the doctor and see if it goes away. I’ve had it for a few seconds and it passed.

Are you also hearing any crackling sounds? Are your ears popping? Do you feel like you are being exposed to some kind of energy?

It is the sound that Cicadas make in the desert…just non stop. It gets better when you’re busy and there is a lot of other sound . when you’re in a quiet room the noise just amps up

In something I can tune into at almost any time. It goes away when I quit paying attention.

It’s kind of a mind game with it at times. Even the treatments trick the brain into ignoring it… Although augments from the experts if the treatments do anything. So generally no treatment that might actually do anything available for it.

Tinnitus can have a physical cause or can also be a hallucination.

After my second psy episode I experienced a sharp ringing which swept from my right ear, went through my head and out the other ear. It was like a bee or something had flown straight through my head. Weird!

I then had a ringing sound in the centre of my brain. With meditation I could make it louder or quieter and even change it’s position.

Eventually it settled around my right ear… It’s still there but I think my brain filters it out now. It used to be a clear, sharp tone, but now it has many harmonics which are not in tune.

I read somewhere it is a sign of the brain trying to fix itself. I’m not so sure of that. However it does usually settle down or you get used to it.
