Proper understanding of Socialism is needed for an opinion of Pro/Against Communism. Suggest read Karl Marx to understand Socialism. The Communist Manifesto and Capital (on economics) especially the latter is needed to properly understand Socialism.
For understanding Communism the Novel called What Is to Be Done? by Nikolai Chernyshevsky has to be read. Lenin’s work called “What is to be done” explains why Communism is needed to achieve Socialism is worth a read.
Capitalism is sheer, pure exploitation of the worst variety (1 individual over thousands). Only a ■■■■■■ would assume that Capitalism is the ideal system of economics.
I’m more of a socialist. However, Marx had some things right. The proletariat is real, so is the bourgeoisie. False consciousness and class consciousness, alienation, all happening today.
But communism is too extreme in my opinion. It’s never been done correctly. Socialism is being done well in Scandinavian nations. I would prefer to live in a socialized US. I think time will make the US become more socialized.
What is a real problem is the fact that this nation is a dog eat dog environment. It is sick and capitalism is in fact perverted. When people are working as hard as they can and still can’t afford needs, while others are either gifted, privileged or lucky and do not work as hard but get surpluses of capital, it’s just as ass-backwards as the harshest criticisms of communism. I think merit should be recognized, but not at the expense of everyone else. The 1% is a sick group of people.
When people are working as hard as they can, they deserve their needs being met. Also, everyone should be given a chance at higher education. I luckily earned mine for free, because I am smarter than most. What about the ones who aren’t lucky? They just have to live off 7.75 an hour? That’s not enough. Not nearly enough. Not with the costs of living in this nation.
Key point is that they’re expected to make just enough to survive and keep working. The proletariat is worse than slavery because they’re given the illusion that they are free.
Socialism is when smart people, not corrupt people decide how the economy should be handled. Instead of politics it’s intellect that runs socialism–at least that is how socialism was conceived.
I think Marx was a little crazy and a little correct. He had valid and cogent points. He also had some crazy talk in his manifesto.
Not surprised that he got kicked out of most of the countries he went and spoke in.
His own children died in poorness and misery. He never worked and was supported by Engels who, not suprisingly, owned a factory exploiting the workers with exactly bad conditions that Marx criticised.

When I see pictures of diamond miners and coal miners underground I wish that the lion’s share of the wealth they create would go to them. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen. Those who speak out against oppression usually turn into worse oppressor’s themselves.
so if his children died in poverty how is it Marx’s fault?. Was its Marx’s duty to take care of his children all his life??? were his children ■■■■■■■ or imbeciles that they couldnt make their way of their own??
Yeah he never worked cause he was reading all the time and his philosophy had and will continue for hundreds of years (maybe a thousand?) A profound impact on humanity.
Engels was a businessman, he was no learned man…he exploited Marx -made money and started a factory. That is not related to Marx and what Marx achieved.
Communism is fine in theory, but it doesn’t work in practice. The communists scared me because they believed any price was worth paying to have a communist system, hence the millions of unnecessary deaths caused by Mao tse tung and Stalin.
Stalin was the WORST capitalist than even freaking Hitler…Please do not talk about Stalin.
Communism was dead after the death of Lenin . Lenin’s last will quite clearly said that Stalin should not take over his reins. He preferred Trotsky who was later murdered by Stalin. So please dont call Stalin a communist cause he never was.
Mao killing millions ???..Mao killed a lot of Nationalist troops and sympathizers cause else they would have killed him.
The People’s republic of China you see standing today who many call it as the Undeclared Superpower (which I believe today is much more powerful than USA) is the result of the huge and superhuman efforts of Mao-Zedung

@Sarad I really do like you, so please read about Socialism from “Capital” by Karl Marx and the books of Lenin I wrote. You would know.
Also Capitalism has killed something like 400 million people due to starvation to date and counting …I am not talking of the number of people starving currently in the world.

Stalin killed way more than that. The May 2, 1982 issue of “The New Republic” estimated that during his lifetime Stalin was responsible for the deaths of 80 million Russians. They did blame Stalin for the huge loss of Russian life at the beginning of the Nazi invasion because he had wiped out his own officer corpse. It also said in that article that Stalin would throw ethnic groups he didn’t trust to the wolves in that campaign. Of course, no one is there counting each body at the time, so we only have estimates.
