I just wanted to let you know I’m back. I had to go to the
hospital (the regular hospital) and was having shortness of breath and taken
from acute care directly to the hospital. While admitted diagnosed with pneumonia,
and bronchitis, plus found a large mass on my thyroid. I was there about three
weeks. I had to be incubated (twice) and because of that I had damage done to
my vocal cords. I can talk, but it’s a whisper. I’m currently on a pureed diet
with having to use a liquid thickener in my drinks. They also did a quick study
of my sleeping and found there is a strong chance I have sleep apnea, I have
oxygen for now until I have a full sleep study done in March. I may have to
remove the thyroid.
While at the hospital they changed my Schizophrenia
medications, they took me off Seroquel XR and put me on regular Seroquel. They
changed my Lorezapam to a different anxiety medication, the Lexapro they left
the same and gave me two new drugs for high blood pressure and to lower my
heart rate…because it beets just a little too fast. So far I haven’t had any
problems with the changes…and with the oxygen on while I sleep I noticed I felt
more rested when I woke up this morning. Anyway I’m back now and will try and
come regularly, I don’t know if I can do it daily or not my attention span is
very short lately and read a whole lot is a challenge.
Thank you, I’m glad to be out, but I’m still getting used too doing a few things on my own and listening to my body for when I need to do things and when to let it go.But it is much nicer being home than at the hospital.
oh sohare I am so sorry for you plight. I hope you get all the things you deserve when it comes to your health. I am worried about my heart right now but they are doing an echocardiogram in two weeks so I should be fine I’m hoping. thanks for checking in. @sohare1981
I was put on overnight oxygen several months ago and my sleep has continued to improve since then – from 5 hours a night to around 8 Hours a night now. And it’s more restful sleep.
